Meath v. Dublin – Leinster MFC highlights – 17/10/20

Below are some video highlights, posted to YouTube by Meath GAA TV, of the Royal County’s memorable recent victory over Dublin at Pairc Tailteann.

John McCarthy’s side qualified for a meeting with Westmeath in the next round by virtue of the 1-15 to 0-07 success in Pairc Tailteann on Saturday last. Unfortunately, however, due to the GAA’s baffling and illogical decision to halt all bar senior inter-county competitions https://boylantalkssport.com/2020/10/22/wheels-coming-off-the-wagon-already/ only the fixtures secretary in the stadium above has any idea when it might be played.

All we can earnestly hope is that there will eventually be an opportunity for this competition to be eventually played out. Not only out of fairness to the young lads themselves and their mentors, but also because of a gut instinct that it may only be the start of a journey for them.

In defeating those by whom the barometer is set – and comprehensively so – they have not only amply demonstrated their capabilities but also given the spirits of the masses a very timely lift. Hopefully they will get the opportunity to build on both.
