It would appear that, thankfully, the Regional Championship is here to stay, and the closing stages of this year’s edition did no harm in canvassing on their behalf when a late goal from Slane’s Francis Marry saw Boyne Valley retain their title at greatest expense to a brave Moyfenragh combination who had remained unbeaten in the competition until the final hurdle.
All eight Divisional teams are represented on the All Star selection with the two finalists topping the poll with four representatives apiece.
It remains to be seen if they will take on a Meath selection, as was the case last season and, indeed, how many of those involved go on to feature on the Meath panel in 2024.
