Please weather, don’t be a spoilsport

In possibly the greatest, yet simplest, endorsement of the fact that incremental progress is being made across many fronts in Meath GAA, both Colm O’Rourke and Shane McCormack have, once again, opted to reward consistency and named unchanged starting 15s ahead of crucial NFL assignments for their respective sides this weekend. Though with the former, what has been committed to paper will be consumed with not so much a pinch of salt as a grain bucket full.

Regardless of who names what team though, the weather could yet turn out to be the biggest spoilsport of the lot*. However, staying on the side of positivity, their outings present possibilities for both sides. One more win for the ladies should guarantee them a shot at a league Final berth, at least.

A similar result for the men’s team would guarantee their Div. 2 status whilst also still leaving them with a chance – albeit a long shot – at promtion.
