Brief highlights of the first St Patrick’s Day Parade in the village since before the Covid-19 Pandemic.
As Grand Marshall of the first Dunboyne parade back in 2013, it was a source of great pride and entirely fitting for yours truly that our local Special Olympics hero Emma Costello was Grand Marshall for the town’s comeback parade.

Great credit is due to the organising committee, it was fantastic to see such a buzz around the place, and the opportunity to see so many local business have the opportunity to showcase what they have to offer the community.
Wonderful imagination went into the floats which took part but it will hardly come as a surprise to many that the couple of vintage tractors – an orange Lambourgini and an impeccably restored Massey Ferguson 135 were what really caught the eye here. Though special mention must also be afforded to the Ladies Motorcycle Club and The Village Vets.
Hopefully this time the Parade is back for good and Boylan Talks Sport will be agriculturally advertised therein for years to come.
