Before going a yard further, I must first apologise for not having the below hurling draws up at the same time as their football brethern. The simple and honest explanation is that fuel reserves with the occupant of this seat were flagging between team news for and match reports on weekend events in National League fixtures across three codes.
The said fixture alignments in the small ball code have a new look to them this year with – for better or worse – them under a new format. Henceforth, only six teams will compete for the Jubilee Cup. Progress? I’m not so sure. Surely the optimum approach would be to have as many teams competitive at the highest level of hurling within the county as is possible.

Don’t get me wrong, the Senior B Championship is a wonderful concept and actually something which should have been introduced a long time ago. However, if it were me, I’d run it hitched onto the ‘actual’ senior championship. Put simply, if a team fails to make the knockout stages in the top competition, they go on then to contest the Senior B. The same arrangements could and should also then apply at Intermediate level too.
It’s more hurling in the summer months players and hurling people want, not less. That goes for the game all over the country, but, I’ll cover that angle in a separate post shortly. For now, though, the draws for the key clashes in Meath club hurling in 2026 are as follows:
Senior Hurling Championship
Ratoath v Kilmessan
Kiltale v Kildalkey
Trim v Na Fianna
Senior B Hurling Championship
Blackhall Gaels v Dunderry
Kilskyre/Moylagh v Killyon
O’Mahonys v Longwood
Intermediate Hurling Championship
Dunboyne v Drumree
Donaghmore Ashbourne v Clann na nGael
Rathmolyon v Gaeil Colmcille
Intermediate B Hurling Championship
Kildalkey v Kilmessan
Trim v Kiltale
Wolfe Tones v Boardsmill
