McEntee shakes things up for Championship opener

Meath manager Andy McEntee and selectors Colm Nally, Paul Nestor and Mark Brennan have announced their chosen ones for tomorrow’s Leinster SFC opener against Wicklow at Pairc Tailteann (2pm).

Meath , Ireland – 13 March 2022; Jason Scully of Meath is tackled by Tadhg Corkery of Cork

There are a number of interesting alterations with Oldcastle’s Jason Scully redeployed at wing back while James McEntee moves in the opposite direction, accompanying his Curraha club mate Jack O’Connor and team captain Cillian O’Sullivan on a speedy looking half forward line.

Surprisingly, neither Mathew Costello or Shane Walsh make the starting 15 but with impact subs being such a vital facet of the modern game, both men will surely see some action.
