Meath manager John McCarthy has announced his starting 15 and panel for tomorrow night’s Leinster U-20 FC opening round encounter against Longford at Clonguish.
Unsurprisingly, the group is a mixture of the players who won the Leinster MFC in 2020 and those who retained that title the following year and added the Tom Markham Cup to their haul.
Billy Hogan, who interchanged with his brother Harry in some of the O’Byrne Cup games, assumes duty between the posts, while Shaun Leonard – who kicked the winning point in the All Ireland MFC Final – is redeployed from wing forward then to wing back now.

At midfield, Jack Kinlough and Conor Gray form a potent looking combination while the team will be Captained from centre forward by Summerhill’s Eoghan Frayne.
