One change ahead of Laois showdown

The very exciting Shaun Leonard takes over from Rian Stafford in the only alteration to the Meath team ahead of tonight’s Leinster U-20 FC last eight encounter in Ashbourne.

Kilmainhamwood’s Stafford was one of the stars of the Royal County’s opening night victory over Westmeath at the same venue two weeks ago and had started in a lively fashion against Dublin in Parnell Park last week but was withdrawn midway through the second half. Presumably having picked up a knock as his performance certainly didn’t merit has withdrawal.

St Colmcille’s youngster Leonard certainly won’t lack for big game experience having written himself into the annals of Meath football when essaying the winning point in the All Ireland MFC Final of 2021.
