The Meath team to take on Louth in the first round of the All Ireland SFC Series at the home of Inniskeen Grattans GAA (Monaghan) on Saturday evening shows three changes from that which lost to Dublin on April 14th.
All the alterations are believed to be enforced, with Ross Ryan, Daithi McGowan and Jordan Morris missing out and being replaced by Harry O’Higgins, Cillian O’Sullivan and Ronan Ryan respectively. Each of the switches requires realignment elsewhere. This means that Ronan Ryan will line out at left corner back, Harry O’Higgins goes from there to the right wing of the defence and that, in turn, allows Ciaran Caulfield revert to what would be his more natural position at No. 10.
Elsewhere, Cillian O’Sullivan will lead the attack in his first start of the season and that, in turn, sees Eoghan Frayne move closer to goal which can only be a good thing. Among the subs, there’s a first appearance for Dunboyne’s Sean Ryan as both Brian O’Halloran and Conor Gray make welcome returns to the matchday panel.

Finally, in accordance with a new directive, Colm O’Rourke has named a strong looking standby list. Any of the quartet can then be called into the matchday 26 should any of the starting 15 or named subs need to be replaced before throw in.
