Meath Football Championships Knockout Fixtures

Following on from Sunday evening’s draws, the fixtures for the knockout stages of all the main football championship competitions in Meath have been confirmed. With three of the four SFC quarter finals taking place in Pairc Tailteann as two double headers over the weekend of September 21/22.

The odd one out being the sequel to Ratoath vs. Dunshaughlin, which returns to Ashbourne after the Killegland venue hosted the infamous meeting of the two last term. Infamy stemming from the fact that the duo went in deadlocked at 0-01 apiece with 30 minutes remaining. Fare didn’t exactly get a face lift thereafter either and in the end a highly contentious goal from Joey Wallace (I think) got those who were then Kevin Reilly’s charges over the line.

The ‘other’ Press Box in Pairc Tailteann! Hopefully I’ll be able to take up residence there, and elsewhere, over the next few weeks.

The ‘Play Offs’ – if one was to borrow a bit of basketball parlance – get underway on Wednesday, September 18th with the IFC relegation shoot out between St Michael’s and Nobber in Moynalty (8pm throw in). Full fixtures for that week – concluding on Sunday the 22nd are as follows:
