Duggan absent from Royal line up

Emma Duggan is a notable and very worrying absentee from the Meath team published as that which will take on Kerry in the Lidl Ladies NFL at Austin Stack Park in Tralee tomorrow (Saturday). Throw in is scheduled for 2pm and the game will be shown live on TG4.

Katie Newe comes in as an indirect replacement for Dunboyne star Duggan who last weekend captained DCU Dochas Eireann to a third consecutive O’Connor Cup triumph – the Ladies Football equivalent of the Sigerson and Fitzgibbon Cup competitions.

In Duggan’s apparent absence, St Michael’s Marion Farrelly will lead the attack with Vikki Wall stationed at the edge of the square as Shane McCormack’s side strive to improve their recent record against the outgoing All Ireland Champions. With regard to the actual NFL itself, for Meath, the equation is simple.

Win and they progress to the Div. 1 Final, lose and their interest therein ends, whereas Tomas Mac An tSaor’s team only require a draw to advance.

MEATH – R. Murray; A. Sheridan, S. Wall, N. Troy; K. Newe, M.K. Lynch, C. Millington; N. Gallogly, K. Bermingham; M. Thynne, M. Farrelly, C. Smyth; M. Byrne, V. Wall, K. Cole.
