Only enforced change for Meath

Aaron Lynch replaces the luckless Jack Kinlough in the only change to the Meath team which saw off the challenge of an accurate Carlow side last Sunday. There are those who would deem the Faithful County favourites for tomorrow’s Leinster SFC encounter, not a difficult stance to understand given the fact that they have just attained promotion and the overall momentum there seems to be behind all their teams at present.

Aaron Lynch returns to the Meath starting 15

However, those who appear so quick to diss Meath’s prospects in the short to medium term would do well to remember that they were two kicks of the ball away from playing Division 1 football themselves.

Furthermore, catastrophic injuries to Kinlough and Jordan Morris aside – the latter of which was no accident – Meath’s resources have actually deepened a bit with the return of players such as Ronan Ryan, Adam O’Neill and Sean Coffey to the matchday panel and others like James McEntee, Ronan Jones, James Conlon and Daithi McGowan on the fringes.
