Daire Lynch, who, at 39-years-old, disappeared in Houston Texas in December of 2021,will be laid to rest in his hometown of Dunboyne, Co Meath, next weekend.
The deceased, who was a year behind this writer in school, had been living in the Lone Star state for some time having moved to the land of stars and stripes as part of his employment.
Crimesolverscentral.com, a website for amateur enthusiasts of true crime, like yours truly, reported “Daire Lynch, 38, (at the time of his disappearance), originally from Ireland, rented a truck – American speak for a jeep – in Fort Davis, Texas, and the vehicle was later located in Davis Mountain State Park with his belongings still inside”.

However, this website can reveal that it was more recently Mr Lynch’s remains were located and he will be laid to rest in Dunboyne on Saturday morning next. In the bereavement notice on rip.ie, the family express that donations, if desired, be made to the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust and the National Missing Person’s Network, Ireland.
May I take this opportunity to convey my deepest Daire’s parents, Ronan and Paula, his brothers, Cathal and Cian and all extended family and friends. May he now rest in eternal peace.
