Dunboyne make it three from three

St Peter’s, Dunboyne..2-18
Killary Emmets…1-13

It was a case of exactly as it said in the above headline as, despite fielding a much changed line up from their previous two outings, Dunboyne made it three Friday nights, three wins, in this U-19 FC encounter at Castletown.

Their prior victories over St Patrick’s and Ratoath meant that they were already through to an eagerly anticipated semi final clash with St Colmcille’s – just six weeks after the sides met in the MFC Final – but this was still a fine display. Goals from defenders Paul Dempsey and Ronan Kelly left the eventual winners clear by 2-07 to 1-06 at half time and an eight point contribution from introduced subs before Eamon Barry called for the ball and concluded a satisfying evening’s work.

St Peter’s, Dunboyne – S. Doyle; S. Coone, A. Howlin, P. Dempsey (1-0); C. Rohan, R. Kelly (1-0), J. Doyle; E. Nuzum, J. Felle (0-1); C. Duggan, J. Lonergan (0-2), T. Brennan; C. Murphy, S. McNulty (0-1), C. Felle (0-6, 5F)
