As they strive to get their Lidl National League campaign back on track, Meath have made two changes ahead of the long run down to tackle Waterford in Round 4,
Manager Wayne Freeman has recalled both Megan Thynne and Rachel Casserly, who come in to replace Meadhbh Byrne and Ciara Lawlor. Casserly’s inclusion sees Orla Finnegan move from the edge of the square to the left corner.

There’s no doubt that the resurgence of the Na Deise ladies has been one of the stories of the league season so far, with the white and blue sitting atop Div. 1 ahead of the action this week.
Interestingly, the green and gold maintain Mary Kate Lynch and Sarah Wall as the spine of their defence even though both will depart at some point in the near future to experience what the GAA/LGFA will claim they can’t offer but sure how do you know you can’t if you never try? Surely at some point somebody has to shout stop on the player drain. From Meath at the very least.
Anyway, a Waterford win would all but guarantee them a first Div. 1 FL Final appearance since 2002 while, if the three points were to go home with the visitors it would in turn greatly improve their chances of achieving the same objective.
