On the road again as we get back on the horse

To venture into Rebel territory or not, that is the conundrum whirring here after the fixtures for the opening round of this year’s All Ireland SFC were confirmed this morning. I am in the happy and very blessed position that if the bullet is bitten and the run is attacked, my long suffering and extremely patient other half is quite likely to go along with the idea.

Can Jack O’Connor hit the Rebel net again?

However, as much as there is a desire to be in and around Robbie and the lads as much as is humanely possible and indeed to tick another ground off the ‘To Visit’ list in terms of what the disabled viewing facilities are like thence, the practicalities and logistics will have to be weighed up before a call is made on whether to boldly go where no wheelchair carrying me has ever gone before. In old parlance, an A.N. Other will be left in situ until as close to match day as is possible.

If the odyssey isn’t an option, there’s always the fall back of watching it on GAA+ in the office. But that would very much be Plan B. The complete list of All Ireland SFC Round 1, Week One fixtures is as follows:
