May I extend my most sincere sympathy to Mrs Meyler, Johnny, Tommy, extended family and all in Blackhall Gaels, on Tom’s passing.
Many’s the ‘friendly discussion’ we had along side lines around the county. But once the whistle went, hands were shaken and that was that.

Also great memories of when he worked at the building of the houses in Millfarm, he’d never pass our gate without a wave.
Eamonn Sweeney once wrote a piece in the Sunday Independent entitled ‘Hurling Man’ and Tom Meyler was every column inch of it. To the extent that, when a time and circumstance arose where Tommy ended up hurling with Dunboyne for a while, parochial tribalism had to be parked for a while. And, to his credit, if Tom was in your corner, not only was he there, he was the dominant presence. Thus, for the short while Tommy hurled with us, Snr was heart and soul behind our teams.
May you now be at peace Tom. “Pull early, pull hard and pull often”
