St Peter’s, Dunboyne…2-18

Na Fianna…0-10

First half goals from Fergal Watters and Jason Gleeson set Dunboyne on their way in Baconstown as they led by 2-10 to 0-04 at the break on Saturday evening before going on to record their second victory of the season in the race for the Mooney Cup.

The eventual victors were also aided by a nine point haul from county U-20 panelist Charlie Gallagher while a towering defencive effort effort from Jack Hayes ensured the home side never gained any traction on a night when Dunboyne’s younger brigade stood up to the plate as so many household names were unavailable.
