Hoping to reunite with a familiar friend

Trevor Giles and his Meath Minor side will be aiming for a reunion with a familiar friend at Laois Hire O’Moore Park in Portlaoise this evening (7:35 throw in) when they tackle a rematch against Kildare in the Electric Ireland Leinster MFC Final.

Should they manage to turn around the result of their initial encounter at Fr McManus Park in Skryne almost two months ago, it will result in the Royal County’s third annexation of the Fr Larry Murray Cup in six seasons.

That said, achieving the feat will require them to turn around the five point deficit which separated the sides on April 7th. However, to place too much store on that result would be to fail to acknowledge the incremental, exponential progress made by Trevor’s lads over the course of the past few weeks.

Unsurprisingly, the Skryne clubman has once again retained the faith in those who have made it to this point as he seeks to add another chapter to his glowing resume of achievement.
