Meath Football Championships Knockout Fixtures

Following Sunday evening’s conclusion of the group stage action across the various grades on the club scene in the Royal County, the draws for the quarter finals and semi finals – those concerning both promotion and/or advancement in the SFC or those trying to avoid the relegation trap door.

There’s no doubting the standout pairing – the coming together of neighbours Ratoath and Dunshaughlin/Royal Gaels at the same stage for the third consecutive season.

Mind you, of equally keen interest will be what is also a  rematch between Meath Hill and Navan O’Mahonys in the IFC. Two years ago, those who border both Louth and Monaghan toppled the town team two out. The meeting of Walterstown and Castletown also has a ring of intrigue about it.

Finally, I cannot be the only one salivating at the prospect of Cormac Smith and Eamonn Armstrong locking horns. The knockout draws for the main club championships in Meath are as follows:
