Healy hits 100 with Championship on the line

Leinster loosehead prop Cian Healy will ascend into a unique group of players in Paris on Saturday when collecting his 100th Test cap as Ireland take on the French with the Six Nations Championship at stake.

The Clontarf clubman – who made his debut against Australia in 2008 during the period when Croke Park was home to Irish rugby – takes his place in the front row alongside Rob Herring and Andrew Porter. Meanwhile, the team shows one change from the combination which put a half tonne of points on Italy last weekend with Robbie Henshaw replacing his provincial colleague Garry Ringrose.

A bonus point victory would guarantee Ireland another Six Nations Championship – a perfect start for new coach Andy Farrell. One which is a distinct possibility too, provided, that is, the concession of that late try to the Italians last weekend won’t come back and bite them in the backside.
