Regional Championships ready for the off

The Brady’s Skoda sponsored Regional Football Championships are set to thrown in next midweek and anticipation of their second staging is growing with team managements and fixtures confirmed.

In a change from last year’s arrangements when all matches in the Regional Championships took place in Dunganny, this time they will actually live up to their name with fixtures in both groups taking place at club grounds around the county which regularly host floodlit games. It is hoped the Final of the Richie Barry Cup will take place in Pairc Tailteann.

There is also one late change to the management teams previously announced. Presumably owing to the continued involvement of Kilbride in the Leinster Club JFC, Anthony Moyles and Paul Nestor will not be taking up their intended roles with the Tara team.

David Gdllagher has been coaching several Dunboyne teams while still playing at a high level.

The places will be taken by David Gallagher, his brother Denis and, making it a St Peter’s Dunboyne trio over the place where the harp once played through the halls will be Niall Gibbs.

The eight regions for the years competition are as follows.
