Campion Returns For Royal Opener

Almost a year after suffering a serious scaphoid injury against the same opposition, Darragh Campion returns to the Meath starting XV for tomorrow night’s O’Byrne Cup clash against Louth under the Ashbourne lights. Throw in 7.30pm.

Ronan Jones will Captain the side from centre back as manager Colm O’Rourke hands a competitive debut to Michael Murphy of St Peter’s, Dunboyne at corner back with Jack Flynn and Cathal Hickey forming a new midfield combination. Even better news for Royal County supporters will be the inclusion of Shane Walsh, Conor Gray and newcomer Adam McDonnell – all of whom were sidelined with long term injuries – among the subs.
