Murray’s Minors Go Again

In their first outing since a gut wrenching defeat against Dublin three weeks ago, Meath Ladies Minor manager Eamon Murray has made just one change to the side ahead of this week’s joust against Kildare.

The young Royals have home advantage once again with the all whites making the trip to Carnaross.

A big occasion for the host club and, following on from an outstanding display by Rionna Murphy with the county U-16s last week, further evidence of the growth of the Ladies game in the club beyond Kells. Some apples don’t land too far from the tree they were produced in either!

However, it’s just a pity that, for the second time in as many weeks, Meath fans are faced with the wholly unavoidable mess of multiple teams playing in different venues at the same time. Indeed, it even slobbered into Sunday with the county U-20 hurlers beginning their Championship campaign against Antrim in Kilmessan at the same time as the men footballers will (hopefully) be en route to the top table.
