Sincere sympathy to the mother, siblings, partner and all who will mourn the incredible loss of the loss of music industry trend setter Trevor Dietz who passed away recently in Brighton UK.
We studied together years ago in BCFE (Ballyfermot) and though initially we would have had little or nothing in common, through his warm, engaging and helpful personality, we found our common ground from Queen to Bon Jovi to Phil Lynott.
Indeed, it’s only now on reflection, and especially having seen the photo which accompanied Trevor’s bereavement notice that it appears we may have had more in common than either of us ever knew, as the names of the star act under his management Fontaines DC is emblazoned across the jerseys of Bohemian FC.

Though I hadn’t seen him in over 20 years, in a now cruelly ironic twist, it was only in recent months he’d cropped up on my radar again through his great work for Fontaines DC and I remember thinking ‘I must drop him an email and see does he remember me’.
